toshiba folio 100 tablet get I am planning to purchase a laptop – Sony, VAIO E Series, VPCEB3AGG/BI. Is this a good idea? If not, what do you propose in the I5 series? (I am NOT a gamer). Where can I find consumer report on Sony laptops?

This Sony laptop is a great choice and if you are not a gamer, an i5 processor is not necessary. The i3 should be sufficient for your purposes. For more information on actual user experience, you can check out some laptop review sites. I also recommend you check out a tool called PC Scout to see what other laptops are available in your price range. You can enter the specs and features you want and it will generate recommendations for you.
