Indonesia. Our respected client is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the
jobof underwriter, to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The winning candidate
should possess detailed knowledge of the general insurance (non-motor
vehicle)industry and must be detail-oriented with great organizational skills.
This individual must also be able to work independently with minimum supervision
and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.The successful
applicantwill be requiredto plan, manageand monitor risk management that is
carried out on a national scale to ensure risk-management activities run
optimally.
Responsibilities:
Formulate a long-term risk management strategy (3 year policy) to ensure that
risks are managed at a safe level
Createannual planning in the division covering financial budgets, program of
work, human resources, trainingplanning as well as facilities and infrastructure
that will be used as guidance in doing activities in the year to come
Conduct risk analysis, acceptance and determining risk with termsand conditions
according tothe limit for decidingthe given rate ofeligibility and risk
acceptance
Forgegood relationships with third parties in orderto improvethebusiness
Make underwriting guidelines that will be used as a reference in conducting risk
management activities across Indonesia
Manage, monitor and analyse reports related to Non MV & Reinsurance Underwriting
to ensure the increasedeffectiveness and efficiency continues to run
Requirements:
Bachelors degree (min.)
Professional qualification
5 yearsexperience in a similar area
Written and spoken English is essential
A thorough understanding of financial services and the insurance market
A thorough knowledge and understanding of insurance products and how they work
Strong influencing skills
Problem-solver
Detail-oriented
